Muay Thai t-shirts: Traditional Thai design

We've used a traditional thai design as the background, to add a different angle to it along with other shirt design elements like the Kranok, or lotus. The colours used are all taken from the Thai national flag, as another bit of respect to a style of martial art that really is up there with the top two or three in the world. We can't think of something that comes as close in stand-up effectiveness as Muay Thai, put it that way.

Something you've got to love about Muay Thai is the stand-up clinch work; yes, we know, most folks focus on those hellish kicks with the shin. We're not trying to downplay or ignore that aspect, but the clinch work, we reckon, shows the depth of class to this style. The concept of leverage is there, combined with unbalancing your opponent, and with knee blows to specifc muscle groups at the top of the hip. It should really be classed a martial science. How about the Art of the Eight Minds?

A quick bit of background, given that last sentence: Muay Thai is known traditionally as the Art of the Eight Limbs, as not only are the hands used for striking, but also the shins, elbows and knees. A Muay Thai fighter throws strikes using eight primary points of contact.

Other Muay Thai shirts we do

If you like the Muay Thai shirts above, but are looking for something a bit more traditional, and with a bit less in-your-face colour, take a look at our Thai boxing t-shirts; we used a bit more of a clean design, and a lighter traditional design element.
